A few weeks ago, we went to the beautiful town of Clearwater, Florida where we spent the weekend playing on the beach and in the pool with Lino's parents. It was Olivia's first vacation and I'm afraid we've set the bar pretty high! Clearwater is a quiet, cozy little town with sugar sand beaches and fun ocean-view grills. We had a great time watching Olivia touch sand, play in a pool, and dip her toes in the ocean - all for the first time. Very sweet moments for sure!

Only in Shreveport can you get a picture on the tarmac

Baby tracks in the sand. She cracked us up with her sloth-like crawl across the beach.

First steps in the pool. Still very uncertain...

An old pro by the end of the day.
One of the funniest moments of the weekend was when Olivia let us bundle her up after her swim. She sat there on her lounge chair for a good 30 minutes, just hanging out and watching the older kids play in the pool. Priceless.
On our last night, we went out to the beach and had a mini photo shoot before the sun set. I'm so glad we were able to capture Olivia's funny faces on camera.

Love.
While walking along the pier, we found a shop that had rescued a sea turtle. Lino got to hold the turtle, who clearly saw it as an opportunity to make a break for it. Little known fact, Clearwater is home to the aquarium that rehabilitated the famous dolphin with the prosthetic flipper. So this little guy will be sharing a home with a national celebrity while he recuperates at the local aquarium.
Beautiful Clearwater. I think we'll be seeing you again soon...
