The Andreanis: Olivia's Baptism

I have a little catching up to do, starting with Olivia's baptism which was well over a month ago.
Olivia was baptized November 17, during a beautiful ceremony at our church here in Shreveport. Her baptismal celebration was special in many ways.

She was blessed to have two incredible Godparents standing by our sides. Her Godfather, Matt Laue, and Godmother, Kristen Conlon, have been best friends with us since our freshmen years at Texas A&M. They are both kind, loyal friends who we know will be a source of strength, faith, and support for Olivia. We love them both very much!

The church she was baptized at has been a big part of Lino and my life these past few years as we've served the youth group here in Shreveport. The ceremony was a beautiful and thoughtful service said by Father Karl Daigle. Whereas our wedding service had been said by a spanish speaking German priest fresh from Guatamala, this priest has known us for several years and made the ceremony personal for our family.

Her outfit itself was pretty special. The baptismal gown was the same one I wore 30 years ago for my baptism and her baptismal cap was made by my mom from the satin of my Meemaw's wedding gown. I must say, Olivia looked beautiful in her family heirlooms.

The icing on the cake was all of our close family and friends that were able to attend and celebrate with us. We had Lino's grandparents from Arizona, Lino's grandma from Denver, Lino's mom from Dallas, my parents, sister, aunt, and uncle from San Antonio, and Olivia's Godparents with their significant others from Dallas.
